北京基督教女青年会（以后简称北京女青年会）是一个由基督徒妇女创办的非营利性社会服务团体，成立于1916年，宗旨是本基督精神，促进妇女德、智、体、群四育之发展，俾有高尚健全之人格，团契之精神，服务社会，造福人群。
　　自1980年起，根据社会需要，北京女青年会致力于开展文化教育；争取妇女在家庭、社会中的地位；为年长者、青少年和儿童提供服务及促进国际民间的友好往来等活动。
　　Beijing YWCA is a non-profit-making organization established by  Christian  women  and  serving  the general public. Founded in 1916 , Beijing YWCA has the aim of“in the spirit of Christ, to promote the moral, intellectual, physical and social development of women, to build lofty and sound personality and foster the spirit of fellowship,to render service to society and bring benefit to people.”
　　In accordance with the need of our society,since 1980, Beijing YWCA has devoted itself to providing training and education,endeavoring to the improvement of women's social and family status, assisting the general public including the elderly,the adolescence and the children,  and promoting friendly social exchange among the international communities.
